Starting salary: £13.48 per hour

Grade: D

  • Bring creativity and flexibility to every situation, meeting families where they are and empowering them to grow.
  • Make a difference in the lives of children with complex needs, working with empathy, skill, and determination.

About You

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage meaningfully with children, families, and professionals.
  • Are an experienced teaching assistant in supporting school-aged children with complex needs.

pastoral support worker  

Required: TBC

Hours per week: 35 (Monday to Friday 08:30am – 4 PM)

Working weeks: 39 weeks (term time ONLY)

Status: permanent

Starting salary: £13.48 per hour

Grade: D

Closing Date: 12 noon on Friday 6th December 2024

Interview Date: week commencing Monday 9th December 2024

The appointed person will work in close partnership with the Director of Inclusion as part of the Inclusion Team and the Heads of School across TEAM Multi- Academy Trust to encourage and support school-aged children and their families. This is a varied role where the successful candidate will be required to proactively engage with pupils and their families relating to promoting and supporting social and emotional wellbeing and mental health.

The successful candidate will:

  • Work with school staff and other agencies to provide additional support to children who need help to overcome barriers to learning, targeting help to those children who need it most. 
  • Implementing agreed pastoral programmes like Go Beyond or the Wave project for example with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom.
