About St Aloysius International School

St Aloysius International School in Harihar, led by Principal Rev. Father Eric Mathias SJ and Educational Adviser Mrs. Grace Noronha, is a newly established institution that opened for the 2024-25 academic year. The schoo

l, part of the esteemed Jesuit network of educational institutions in Karnataka, currently serves around 400 primary students. Inaugurated with much enthusiasm and ceremonial grandeur, St Aloysius International School is already making a mark as a promising institution dedicated to providing a high-quality education.

Under the guidance of Mrs. Grace Noronha, a respected educational leader with extensive experience in fostering international school partnerships, the school aims to build strong connections with UK schools, including our own, as part of their plans with the British Council.

 

A Memorable Visit and Independence Day Celebration

In August 2024, our CEO visited St Aloysius International School and was honoured to be the VIP guest at their 78th Independence Day celebrations on August 15th. The event was a vibrant and heartwarming display of patriotic spirit, with students and staff coming together to commemorate this important occasion with cultural performances, speeches, and a flag-hoisting ceremony. Our CEO was deeply moved by the sense of pride and unity among the school community, which highlighted the school's strong values and commitment to fostering a sense of national and global identity.

Key Meetings and Collaborative Vision

During the two-day visit, our CEO held several partnership meetings with the Principal, Rev. Father Eric Mathias SJ, and Mrs. Grace Noronha, discussing how to develop this new partnership as a collaborative effort. These discussions outlined a shared vision for creating meaningful learning opportunities that benefit both student bodies and provide platforms for cultural exchange.

The Future of Our Partnership

Although St Aloysius International School is in its early stages, it shows tremendous potential. With strong leadership, a dedicated team of experienced teachers, and a clear vision, the school is well-prepared to develop its international partnerships further. The collaboration between Umberleigh Academy, Brayford Academy, and St Aloysius International School promises to be a dynamic and mutually beneficial exchange, enhancing our students' educational experiences and fostering a deeper understanding of global issues.
