TEAM ACADEMY TRUST

In 2012 the Governing Body of Pilton Bluecoat Church of England Junior School after consultation with its stakeholders applied for Academy Status to the Secretary of State for Education. The application was successful and as a result of this academy status was granted meaning TEAM Multi-Academy Trust was born. The vision for the Multi-Academy Trust at this time was centred on improving educational standards and the life chances of  children across North Devon through collaboration with other schools and organisations locally and around the world. This remains the same today.

As time has progressed TEAM Multi-Academy Trust has become well known for its innovative approach to education and its eagerness for collaboration. In April 2015, the Trust welcomed Brayford Academy and Umberleigh Academy to the Multi Academy Trust, followed in July 2017 by Witheridge Church of England Academy and High Bickington Academy.  In June 2022 we welcomed Beaford Community Primary and Nursery School into the Trust. The latest schools to join TEAM Multi Academy Trust are Horwood & Newton Tracey Primary School and Pilton Infants who we welcomed on the 1st November 2023. We are extremely proud of our eight schools, their heritage and the way they have supported the children in this area for many years.
